Sustainability

Climate change is the single most important issue facing the world today, and here at EPD, we will do all in our power to help cut carbon emissions.

EPD Insulation Group is passionate about environmental issues and actively driven to learn more, change our business to include sustainable ideas, and change perceptions within the industry and the wider surroundings.

Changes, however small, can make a big difference, and EPD Insulation Group have now got 14 charging points for hybrid and electric company vehicles.

As of 1st March 2024, we will have launched our new Electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD) system. Customers will no longer sign and receive paper delivery notes, instead they will acknowledge delivery on a handheld mobile tablet device, which will automatically send proof of delivery via text and email. Key details such as delivery location, images of the products on site, along with the name/signature of the person who accepted the delivery, will all be instantly available.

This is a significant step forward for our delivery operation, which will simplify and streamline the delivery process for our customers, and aiding EPD Insulation Group to become even more sustainable. Check out our Logistics and Delivery page: Logistics and Delivery

The majority of the products we deliver to the construction materials trade are helping to retain heat in buildings – making them more energy efficient – giving substantial health and well-being benefits to the population, whilst also reducing national greenhouse gas emissions and its carbon footprint, in the most cost-effective way.

Together, with our supplier brands, we will strive to deliver products that will help reduce the negative impact on the planet and the next generations using the buildings the industry produces.

Additionally, we are helping to generate growth, productivity, and enterprise, in low carbon industries.

Some brands – like Kingspan for example – are ‘Planet Passionate’, which is a programme they have signed up to, spanning the next 10 years. This programme has already seen them increasing rooftop solar PV installations, complete 6 rainwater harvesting projects, install 33 electric vehicle charging stations, and recycle 843m PET bottles into their processes.

We will never stand still when it comes to sustainability.
